Why was my Zeely ad campaign rejected, and what should I do next?

Learn why your ad campaign was rejected, how to fix the issue, relaunch it, and what happens to your advertising budget.

Written by Iren

Having your ad campaign rejected can be frustrating, especially when you’re ready to start promoting your business. The good news is that most rejections can be fixed. In this article, you’ll learn why your campaign may have been rejected, how to fix the issue, and how to launch a new campaign.

1. Why was my campaign rejected?

Before launch, ad campaigns are reviewed by Zeely's moderation team to ensure they comply with Meta's Advertising Standards and Zeely's internal requirements.

If our moderators identify an issue, the campaign is rejected before it goes live.

You'll receive an email from Zeely explaining:

  • The specific reason your campaign was rejected.

  • The advertising policy or requirement involved.

  • Recommendations for addressing the issue.

  • Information about your advertising budget refund.

The email is sent to the address linked to your Zeely account. If you can't find it, check your Spam / Junk, Promotions, and Archive folders.

Before creating a new campaign, carefully review the rejection reason provided in the email.

2. How can I fix the issue?

The steps you need to take depend on why your campaign was rejected. Below are the most common reasons and how to address them.

Issues with ad copy or creatives

Campaigns may be rejected because of unrealistic promises, misleading claims, inappropriate images, or other advertising policy violations. Here are some examples of ad copy that may be rejected, along with safer alternatives:

Guaranteed results
❌ "Earn $5,000 in just 7 days — guaranteed!"
✅ "Explore tools designed to help you manage your business."

Health or weight-loss claims
❌ "Lose 10 kg in 2 weeks without dieting!"
✅ "Discover healthy meal plans that fit your lifestyle."

Addressing personal attributes
❌ "Are you struggling with debt?"
✅ "Learn practical tips for managing your budget."

Exaggerated or unverifiable claims
❌ "The #1 bakery in the world!"
✅ "Freshly baked pastries made every morning."

Pressure tactics
❌ "Buy now or regret it forever!"
✅ "Limited-time offer — available until Sunday."

Review your ad copy and creatives, remove unsupported promises, and make sure your advertising accurately represents your product or service.

Issues with your website or landing page

If your campaign was rejected because of a broken link, an inaccessible landing page, or a mismatch between your ad and website:

  1. Open the link used in your campaign.

  2. Make sure the page loads without errors.

  3. Check that it works properly on mobile devices.

  4. Verify that the information on the page matches your advertised offer.

  5. Fix any issues before creating a new campaign.

Products or services with advertising restrictions

Meta prohibits advertising for certain products and services and places additional restrictions on others. These include, for example, prescription drugs, tobacco and vaping products, and gambling.

If your rejection is related to your product category, review the explanation in the email from Zeely.

If your product or service isn't eligible for paid advertising, changing the ad copy or creative won't remove that restriction. See section 5 for an alternative way to promote your business.

Important: Making changes does not guarantee that your new campaign will pass moderation.

3. How can I relaunch my campaign?

Rejected campaigns cannot be edited or reactivated.

To try again:

  1. Review the rejection reason in the email from Zeely.

  2. Fix the issue with your ad copy, creative, link, or other campaign details.

  3. Open Zeely and create a new ad campaign.

  4. Complete the campaign setup process.

  5. Double-check your creative, destination link, audience, and budget.

  6. Submit your new campaign for moderation.

Before submitting, go through our checklist Must-dos before launching a paid campaign to make sure your new campaign is ready.

Your new campaign will go through the standard review process before launch.

4. What happens to my advertising budget?

If Zeely's moderation team rejects your campaign before it launches, you'll receive a full refund of that campaign's advertising budget.

The funds cannot be automatically transferred to a new campaign. Refunds typically take 5–7 business days to appear. To launch a new campaign, you'll need to complete the campaign creation and payment process again.

5. What if my product can't be advertised on Meta?

If your product or service isn't eligible for paid advertising, you may want to explore Social Posting through Zeely as an alternative. Social Posting allows you to create and publish content organically without launching a paid advertising campaign.

Follow these guides to get started:

Important: Organic content must also comply with Instagram's and TikTok's policies.
