A few words, or even the order they appear in, can change the whole feel of an ad. Meaning comes from how we perceive who the message is for, what it says, and how and when it’s delivered. When setting up a Meta campaign in Zeely, you can edit the Primary text and Headline before the campaign goes live.
Important: The editor uses the label Headline rather than Description. The Primary text appears above the image or video, while the Headline appears below it, beside the call-to-action button.
Edit the primary text or headline
Set up your Meta campaign and continue to the Ads step.
Under Review ads, find the creative you want to update.
Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the creative. Select Edit.
In Edit ad content, update either of the following fields:
Primary text — the main copy that appears above your image or video. You can enter up to 500 characters
Headline — the shorter line that appears below the creative, next to the call-to-action button. You can enter up to 100 characters
If needed, open the Call to action menu and choose the button that best fits your ad.
Look over the preview on the right to make sure the text looks natural and nothing important is cut off. Then scroll down and click Save.
If your campaign includes several creatives, edit each one separately. This lets you tailor the wording to the image or video instead of carrying the same message across every ad.
Before you launch
Read through the Primary text and Headline one more time before moving on. Check that:
The message matches the image or video
The offer and destination page tell the same story
The most important point appears early in the Primary text
The Headline remains clear at a glance
The call to action matches what you want people to do next
These changes can only be made while you are setting up the campaign. Once a Zeely-managed Meta campaign is active, its copy cannot be edited or temporarily paused. If you need to change the text in an active campaign, contact our Support team so they can stop it; you can then set up a new campaign with the revised copy.
Why does a different name appear above my ad?
The name shown at the top of the ad, such as Zeely: Books and More — is not the Primary text, Headline, or post title. It is the advertiser name displayed alongside the Sponsored label.
Zeely pulls this name from the Industry field selected in your profile. It cannot be changed in the Edit ad content window.
To use a different advertiser name in future campaigns, open your profile and update the Industry field before setting up the next campaign. The new value will apply to future ads; it will not rename a campaign that is already running.
