How to fix issues adding products or saving changes in Zeely

If you cannot add a product or save your changes, work through the steps below.

Written by Viktoria Green

In most cases, checking the required fields, product images, connection, or website link will help you sort it out.

A product may not save when:

  • One or more required fields are empty.

  • A product image uses an unsupported format or is too large.

  • Your internet connection is slow or unstable.

  • Your browser or app session needs to be refreshed.

  • The product page you are importing is unavailable.

  • The product link is incomplete, incorrect, or restricted.

  • Your website is temporarily unavailable.

1. Check the required product details

Before saving, make sure you have completed all the required fields:

  • Product type

  • Name

  • Description

  • Price

  • At least one product image

The Brand field is optional. You can select an existing brand, create a new one, or leave the field empty and still create your product.

Look through the form once more, since Zeely may highlight a missing or incomplete field. After filling it in, try saving the product again.

2. Check your product images

To add or replace a product image, make sure the file meets these requirements:

  • Supported formats: WEBP, PNG, JPEG, JPG, and HEIC

  • Maximum file size: 10 MB per image

You need to add at least one image before you can create the product.

If an image still will not upload:

  1. Give the file a short, simple name such as product1.jpg.

  2. Remove special characters such as #, %, &, or emojis.

  3. Convert the image if its format is not listed above.

  4. Resize or compress it if it is larger than 10 MB.

  5. Try uploading another image to check whether the issue is connected to the original file.

3. Check your Internet connection

A weak or unstable connection can prevent product changes from saving. Try:

  • Switching from mobile data to Wi-Fi (or vice versa)

  • Refreshing the page or app

4. Reinstall the app

Delete the app and download it again from the App Store or Google Play.

5. Clear your browser data

If you are using the Zeely web dashboard, stored browser data or an extension may be getting in the way.

Open your browser settings, go to Privacy or History, and clear the cache and cookies. Sign back in to Zeely afterward, then try again.

You can also open Zeely in a private or incognito window. If the product saves there, cached data or a browser extension may be causing the issue.

6. Check the product link

This section applies when you are importing a product from a website.

Open the product link in your browser and check that:

  • The page opens without an error.

  • The link leads directly to one product or service.

  • The page is available without a password or account login.

  • The product has not been removed from the website.

  • The link begins with https:// or http://.

  • There are no extra spaces or characters in the address.

  • The website is not undergoing maintenance.

If you see a 404 Not Found message, the product page may have been removed or its address may have changed. Find the current product page and copy its link again.

A shop homepage or category page may not contain enough specific information for Zeely to import the product correctly. For the best results, use a page dedicated to one product or service.

If Zeely still cannot import the information, add the product manually instead. Follow How to add a product if I don’t have a website.

7. Check whether your website is available

If the product link is correct but Zeely still cannot open it, your website may be temporarily unavailable.

Try to:

  • Open the page on another device.

  • Open it using a different internet connection.

  • Check your hosting provider’s status page.

  • Confirm that your domain is active and has not expired.

  • Wait until any planned website maintenance is complete.

Once the product page is available again, return to Zeely and retry the import.

8. Try another browser or device

If the issue continues:

  • Try another browser, such as Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

  • Temporarily turn off browser extensions that may block page actions.

  • Try Zeely on another device.

  • If you are using the mobile app, try the web dashboard.

  • If you are using the web dashboard, try the mobile app.
