Brand DNA teaches Zeely what makes your brand unique. It tells AI how your business looks, sounds, and communicates, so every ad feels more like you. The more details you fill in, the more consistent and accurate your AI-generated ads will be.
Each brand has its own Brand DNA, so you can manage several brands without mixing up their identities. Creating a brand does not automatically create a product, and adding a product does not create a separate brand.
Here’s how to get there and set it up.
Open Brand space. You can access it in either of these ways:
On Home, scroll down to Brand space and tap the arrow beside the section name.
Alternatively, tap the profile icon in the upper right corner, then select Brand space under Profile & account.
Now you're ready to customize your brand. The Brand space page has two sections:
• Brands contains your individual brand profiles and their Brand DNA.
• Products contains the physical products, digital products, and services you have added or would add.
Under Brands, tap New brand. Then, enter the name your customers know the brand by.
Zeely creates the brand and opens its profile. At the top, you will see two tabs:
Products shows the products assigned to this brand.
Brand DNA contains the brand’s identity and communication settings.
Good to know: Products and brands remain separate in Brand space. You can create Brand DNA without adding a product, then assign products to the brand later.
Tap the Brand DNA tab at the top of the screen. This is where you’ll fill in everything AI needs to create on-brand content.
You don’t have to fill in everything at once. Add the details that best represent your brand and come back to complete the rest when you’re ready.
Under Identity, fill in the basics. This section defines the brand’s visual appearance:
Tap the logo placeholder to upload your logo. AI can use it to make your ads instantly recognisable.
Set your brand colours by tapping each colour circle. Add your Primary, Secondary, Text, and Background colours. Tap a color tile to change it.
Primary: Your brand’s main color. It is usually the most recognizable color in your visual identity and may be used for prominent design elements.
Secondary: A supporting color that complements the primary color. It can be used for accents, buttons, highlights, and additional visual elements.
Text: The color used for headlines, descriptions, and other written content. Choose a color that remains easy to read against the background color.
Background: The color used behind text and other design elements. It should provide enough contrast to keep your content clear and readable.
Choose your fonts — a Headline font and a Body font. Your preferred typography helps AI create ads that feel consistent with your existing branding.
Headline: The font used for titles, promotional messages, and other prominent text. Choose a font that captures your brand’s personality and remains easy to read at larger sizes.
Body: The font used for descriptions and supporting text. Choose a clear, readable font that works well alongside your headline font.
Add your visual style tags, such as Minimalist, Image-centric, or Sophisticated. Tap + New to add your own. Use Visual don’ts to flag anything AI should steer clear of.
Under Branding, tell AI about your brand. This section gives Zeely context about what the brand represents:
• Write a short Overview — what you do, who your customers are, and what makes your business different.• Choose your brand values: Add the principles that guide the brand. Select from the suggestions or tap + New to add your own.
• Add your tagline if you have one. A short phrase that captures your brand’s personality helps AI reflect your voice more accurately.
Under Communication, set your tone. This section controls how the brand should sound:
Choose your tone of voice: Add words that describe how the brand communicates, such as authoritative, direct, friendly, or playful.
Taboo words and claims: Add words, phrases, or marketing claims that Zeely must not use.
Headline styles to avoid: Describe headline formats that do not suit the brand.
Under General rules, add anything else AI should always keep in mind or always avoid across all your content. These can cover visual elements, messaging, topics, or other brand restrictions not included in the previous sections.
When you’re done, tap Back to return to Brand space. Your Brand DNA saves automatically as you go.
Brand DNA is currently applied when you create Image ads, keeping your visuals and messaging consistent. Support for more formats is on the way.
After creating a brand, you can add the physical products, digital products, or services that belong to it.
Choose the guide that matches your setup:
When adding or reviewing a product, select the appropriate brand in the Brand field. Zeely will then use that brand’s Brand DNA when creating content for the product.
Assign products to the correct brand
Each product should be assigned to the brand whose Brand DNA you want Zeely to use.
Open Brand space.
Find the product under Products.
Tap its three-dot menu. Then, select Assign to brand.
Choose the correct brand, or create a new one if it is not listed.
Assigning a product to a brand does not merge their information. The product keeps its own name, description, images, price, and market intelligence, while Zeely uses the selected brand’s Brand DNA when creating content for it.
If you already had products in Zeely
Products created before Brand space was introduced may have been grouped under the same Brand DNA. If products belong to different brands, create a separate brand for each identity and reassign the relevant products.
