How to create an AI image ad?

Here's how to turn your visual into an ad that actually stops the scroll with AI image ad.

Got an idea in your head… and a reference you love but don’t know how to recreate? That’s exactly what AI image ad is for. You bring the vision. Zeely brings the structure of ads that already work, or the reference you want to match. A few clicks later, your creative is ready to go.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your Zeely account: https://app.zeely.ai/

  2. In the left menu, open Image studio. Then, click AI image ad.

  3. You’ll be taken to the creator page, where your ad will be made. A few inputs from you help define the task for the AI.

  4. Choose an image from your library or upload a new one.

If you decide to upload a new image, you'll get a chance to add more details so the AI can take them into consideration. For instance, target audience — a description of your potential customers. Knowing this detail will help the AI create an image that captures their attention.

  5. Pick a reference. Choose it from the top-performing ad examples suggested by Zeely, or upload your own inspiration.

You can browse using the filters above the gallery. They’re organized by product type, service category, and ad format, so you can quickly find the kind of creative you’re looking for.

Don’t want to use a reference? You can skip this step. Just click the X in the upper-right corner.

  6. Set up your generation. You’ll enter the creative workspace. Here’s what to adjust:

    • Turn Brand DNA on or off to decide whether the AI should follow your brand’s colors, fonts, and style when creating your ad.

    • Describe your idea in your own words in the prompt field, for example, you can add a few words on how you want the final image to look, such as mood, background, lighting, or style.

Even if you selected a product image and a reference, the text prompt still guides the AI. If you write something very different, the result may look different too. That’s normal.

Adding a description is optional. You can keep the field untouched since AI will analyse everything you've shared before. This is only needed if you’d like more control over the creation process.

    • Select the AI model that will generate your ad

    • Choose the size (aspect ratio)

    • Select the quantity of variations you want. Then, click Create ad.

  7. Once it’s ready, you’ll see your new creative on the right side of the screen.

It will also be saved under Projects → Image, so you can revisit, download, or launch a campaign anytime.
