How to reuse context from an existing image

Use the settings from a creative you already made as the starting point for a new image.

Written by Vita

Things can always be better, and every creator knows that feeling. Sometimes a few small changes are all it takes to bring your work closer to your idea of perfection. That’s precisely why you don’t always have to start with a blank prompt window. You can build on what you’ve created before and give it a fresh new look. Your original stays untouched, and the new image is saved as a separate project.

Where to find Reuse context

You can start from three places on the web:

What Reuse context carries over

Zeely restores the settings supported by the relevant creation workflow. Depending on how the creative was made, these may include:

  • the selected product

  • reference images

  • a prompt written by you

  • the AI model

  • the aspect ratio or resolution

  • other supported generation settings

The restored setup is a starting point. You can replace or remove existing information and add new instructions before generating your next creative.

Unavailable items: If a product or reference image from the original generation has been deleted, or its AI model is no longer available, Zeely skips that item and fills in everything else.

How to reuse context

  1. Go to Projects.

  2. Find the image whose setup you want to reuse.

  3. Hover over the creative and open Reuse context using the available action:

    • For a creative generated with Merge or Localize, click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner and select Reuse context.

    • For a Playground image, click the arrow at the bottom-right corner and choose Reuse context from the actions shown for that image.

  4. Review the information Zeely restored. Depending on the creative, this may include the product, references, prompt, AI model, aspect ratio, resolution, and other supported settings. Then check the following:

    • Product: Make sure the right product is selected.

    • References: Replace any missing reference image.

    • Prompt: Check it carefully. It appears only if you wrote it originally.

    • Credit cost: Look at the cost on the Generate button.

  5. Replace anything that is missing or no longer suitable. Then, click Generate to create a new image.
