How to resize an image

Follow the steps below to get your image in a new format.

There’s no need to regenerate your image with a prompt like “make this a good fit for an Instagram Story.” Resize reworks your finished creative for each placement you choose, keeps the main idea intact, and saves every format as its own project.

Here's how do it:

  1. Log in to your Zeely account at https://app.zeely.ai/.

  2. In the left menu, open Projects. Then, select Image in the format filter to show only your static creatives.

  3. Find the image you want to resize and hover over its card. Click the arrow beside Edit, then select Resize.
    ​

  4. The Resize an image workspace opens. At the top of the left panel, you’ll see the original image, its aspect ratio, and its pixel dimensions.
    ​

    Under Resize to, choose one or more output formats:
    ​

    • 9:16, 1080 × 1920 px: Stories and vertical ads

    • 1:1, 1080 × 1080 px: Posts, ads, and marketplaces

    • 4:5, 1080 × 1350 px: Feed posts and ads

    • 2:3, 1080 × 1620 px: Pinterest pins and tall ads

    • 16:9, 1920 × 1080 px: YouTube and display ads​

  5. Click each format you want to create. A check mark confirms your choice. You can select several formats at once. Each one is priced separately, and the Resize button shows the combined credit cost before you continue. For example, two formats give you two resized images, and the button shows their total cost.

  6. Look over your selection and click Resize. Zeely adapts the composition to each aspect ratio, and your original image stays untouched. Your resized images appear in Projects as soon as they’re ready, and each format shows up as its own creative.

Review a resized image

Click a resized result to open its full preview. The information panel shows:

  • From: the aspect ratio and dimensions of the original image

  • To: the aspect ratio and dimensions of the resized version

For example, an image might go from 9:16, 1536 × 2736 px to 1:1, 1080 × 1080 px.

From the preview, you can download the image, edit it, open more actions, or use it to launch a campaign.


Resize or Create variations?

  • Use Resize when you want to fit an existing creative to a new aspect ratio or set of dimensions. Zeely keeps the main idea and rearranges the composition for the selected format.

  • Use Create variations when you want to explore different versions of a finished creative by changing its text, visuals, colors, style, or composition.
