Sometimes your video just needs a little tune-up, a better track, a sharper image, or a new hook that really catches the scroll. You can update parts of your video for free or completely rebuild it when you're ready for a fresh start.
Editing options depend on the type of video you created.
If you regenerate a Viral content video, Zeely automatically creates a new version. The story may change, but you cannot open a prompt editor or change the generation instructions.
The same applies to videos created in Playground. Zeely uses the original prompt as a starting point to generate a fresh variation of the existing video.
If you want to regenerate a Video ad, you'll open the prompt window, where you can adjust the creative before generating a new version. You can edit the prompt, rewrite the script, and fine-tune the video to better match your idea.
A couple of things to know: Talking-head videos cannot be edited after they are created. To make changes, you will need to create a new video.
Zeely does not currently support montages made from existing clips. This means you cannot upload your own videos, combine multiple clips, or arrange them into a sequence.
Now let's look at the editing options for Video ads in more detail:
From the left menu, go to Projects, then select Video from the format filter.
Find the video you want to update, click the three dots (⋯) in the lower-right corner, and choose Regenerate.
In the editor, you can fine-tune your video before generating a new version.

Move captions to the top, center, or bottom of the frame
When everything looks the way you want, click Regenerate video. Zeely will create a fresh version with your changes applied.
Once the video has been regenerated, you will find the updated version in Projects under Video from the format filter.
