Some ideas only need a small touch-up. Others deserve a full remake. In the Zeely app, you can refresh videos right from your phone — and choose whether to make quick free fixes or a brand-new version.
Here’s how to do it:
Open the app and tap the folder icon at the bottom of the screen to go to Projects. Then tap Video from the format filter at the top.
Choose the video you’d like to update.
Please note that regenerating only works for Viral videos. To update Video ads or Animated ads, use the web dashboard instead. Videos created with AI avatars can't be regenerated on either mobile or web at this time. And videos made with AI avatars can't be regenerated on mobile or web just yet. Zeely also doesn't yet support building montages from existing clips, so uploading your own videos, stitching clips together, or arranging them into a sequence isn't possible just yet.
Tap the three dots (⋯) in the bottom-right corner and select Preview.
Once you're in the editor, tap the Regenerate icon (↻) in the top right corner to open the video settings.
Update any part of your setup before creating a new version:
Script: Edit the existing script yourself or tap Generate script to let AI write a new one.
Prompt (optional): Turn on the toggle to describe exactly how you want the video to look or move. Leave it off if you'd rather let AI decide based on your image.
Open Audio to customize how your AI actor speaks. You can choose a different:
Voice to change the speaker.
Accent to change how the speaker pronounces the script.
Emotion to adjust the delivery, such as Friendly, Confident, or Excited.
Tap Apply to save your changes.
Open Settings to customize how your video is generated. Here you can:
Choose a different AI model. Each model has its own style and generation quality.
See the resolution that comes with your selected model. The resolution is set automatically and changes when you switch to a different AI model.
Adjust the video duration to create a shorter or longer version.
Finally, tap Create video to generate a brand-new version with your updated settings.
Zeely will generate a new version with fresh copy and lip-sync to match your new setup.
After rendering
Once your video has finished rendering, you'll receive a confirmation email. Take a look at your new video. If you'd like to change the message, voice, or style, simply regenerate it with new settings. You can create as many versions as you need until you're happy with the result.
