How to make your viral campaign work

A campaign doesn’t take off with a single post. It grows when you show up often, test different angles, and fine-tune the details until your Reels reach the right people.

Launching a campaign is easy. Making it work takes a bit more care. Think of it like planting seeds so that one or two posts won’t grow a garden. The real growth comes when you stay consistent and give people a reason to draw their attention to you.

1. Post more than once

Two Reels over two days isn’t enough. Aim for at least 3 Reels over 6 days. Spreading posts out builds momentum and keeps your brand showing up in people’s feeds.

To boost visibility even more:

  • Start your video with a strong hook — the first few seconds decide if people keep watching.

  • Add a clear call to action, like asking viewers to save or share. Instagram’s algorithm gives a push to Reels that people watch to the end, save, or send in Direct.

2. Let the algorithm choose the winner

All Reels in a campaign are published at the same time. Meta tests them, sees which one performs best, and then shows that Reel to a wider audience. The more Reels you include, the better the chance one will break through.

3. Complete your profile

A great Reel won’t convert if your profile looks empty. Add a clear bio, a website link, and product details so people know who you are and where to find you.

4. Experiment with avatars

Different avatars connect with different audiences. Try running campaigns with a few options — sometimes a subtle change in tone or look makes your message resonate better.

5. Edit before it goes live

After you’ve scheduled your campaign, you’ll see it in the dashboard. From here you can:

  • Update captions → Adjust the text describing your product to make it sound like you want; and add a call to action, like “Shop now,” “Message us,” or “Click the link in bio.”

  • Refine tags → Mix broader hashtags (#SustainableFashion) with specific ones (#ShurShurSocks) to reach the right crowd.

  • Adjust timing → Need to change the publish time or spread things differently? You can update the schedule before launch.

These small edits can make a big difference in how your videos are seen and acted on.

Bringing it all together

Viral campaigns work when you give the platform enough material to test and your audience enough reasons to trust you. That’s how Reels move beyond views and turn into real reach. The way forward is simple: post consistently, try different approaches, and notice what connects. Every Reel is feedback. Over time, this steady effort shapes not just better performance in the algorithm, but also a community that looks forward to what you share. Keep building, and your campaigns will bring lasting results you can repeat with confidence.
