Credits are what keep everything moving in Zeely. They’re used whenever you generate videos or images, edit creatives, or launch campaigns with AI. Everything comes from one shared balance, so you don’t have to think about separate limits for different tools.

Here’s a quick, friendly walkthrough of how credits work in the app and how to use them without stress.

What credits are (and why we use them)

Credits are the way Zeely keeps creation simple and flexible.

Instead of splitting things into different buckets, all creative actions run on one balance. That means you choose how to spend your credits. One polished video, a few experiments, or something in between.

Whenever AI is doing real work in the background, like generating, editing, or reprocessing content, credits are used. That’s all they’re measuring.

One balance, everything included

All tools in the app use the same balance:

  • Creating videos

  • Making image ads

  • Turning images into videos

  • Editing and regenerating

  • Trying variations or new versions

If AI is involved in making or remaking something, it uses credits. You’ll always see a ⚡ icon and the exact number of credits on the button before you start, so you know what will be deducted.

The two types of credits

Zeely has two kinds of credits. Both live in the same balance and work together.

Plan credits

These come with your subscription and refresh every billing cycle. Each plan includes a set number of credits:

  • Starter: 500 credits, which is up to ~12 videos, ~50 image ads, or ~2 cinematic clips

  • Plus: 750 credits, which is up to ~18 videos, ~75 image ads, or ~3 cinematic clips

  • Growth: 1000 credits, which is up to ~25 videos, ~100 image ads, or ~4 cinematic clips

These credits give you a predictable monthly baseline, so it’s easier to plan what you want to create.

Extra credits

Extra credits are there when you want a little more freedom.

Maybe you’re launching something new. Maybe you’re testing ideas faster than usual. You can add extra credits anytime, and they don’t expire when your plan renews. These credits kick in only after your plan credits are fully used, and never expire with renewals.

Checking your credit balance

To see how many credits you have, just open the Zeely app.

Your current balance is always visible inside the app, so you can check it before starting something new. Your current credit balance appears next to your profile icon as a number with a green lightning bolt. That number is your available balance.

Seeing where your credits went

If you’re curious how your credits were used:

  1. Open the Zeely app

  2. Tap your credit balance

  3. Hit View credit history

You’ll see what feature was used, how many credits it took, when it happened, and which AI model was involved.

If something fails to generate due to a technical issue, credits are refunded automatically. You don’t need to do anything.

What actually uses credits

Credits are spent whenever AI is actively creating or re-creating something.

That includes:

  • Generating a new video or image

  • Creating a static ad

  • Turning an image into a video

  • Editing an existing creative

  • Regenerating parts of a creative

One thing that surprises people: editing can use credits. Even small changes sometimes mean the AI has to redo the whole work.

Good news: viewing, organizing, or downloading finished creatives doesn’t use any credits.

Why credits can disappear faster than expected

This usually happens when:

  • You make a few edits or retries on the same creative

  • You’re testing different prompts, styles, or formats

  • You regenerate to polish the result

That’s normal. Experimenting is part of creating, and credits reflect the work happening behind the scenes.

How to stretch your credits

A few friendly tips that help:

  • Start with a clear idea or prompt

  • Try not to change too many things at once

  • Take a moment to review before regenerating

  • Build on a strong version instead of starting over

A little intention goes a long way. Add your product carefully, include details that may help in future generations, and use high-quality photos. Here’s a quick guide on choosing the right images.
