How to launch a paid campaign via custom link?

Launching a paid campaign from the web version of Zeely is quick and intuitive. Just follow the steps to set everything up and let AI do the rest.

Sometimes, you might need more flexibility than linking an ad to a single product. That’s where the custom link feature comes in. It lets you promote any page you want — whether it’s your website, landing page, blog, or portfolio.

Here’s when it can be especially useful:

  • You want to drive traffic to a specific URL. Use a custom link to send visitors to any page that best represents your business, not just a single product.

  • You launched a campaign with the wrong link. If your ad accidentally points to the wrong page (like a Zeely demo or homepage), you can easily fix it — just paste the correct URL and re-launch your campaign.

  • You want to use creatives from different products. Custom link removes limits. Combine any visuals or videos from your Zeely library and direct all traffic to one chosen page.

Here's how to do it:

  1. Log in to your account at app.zeely.ai

  2. Go to the Promotion section in the left-hand menu and click Paid campaigns.

  3. Then click New Campaign in the top-right corner.

  4. A modal titled Add custom link will appear. Paste the URL of the page you want to promote, then click Continue.

  5. Choose your campaign objectiveTraffic or Leads.

    • Traffic brings people to your website, page, or landing screen.

    • Leads help you collect contact details from potential customers, like emails or phone numbers.

    • Zeely recommends choosing one clear goal so Meta can optimize your budget more effectively.

  6. Choose your creatives — it’s best to add at least three options for testing.

    Zeely note: You can also generate new ads tailored to your custom link by clicking Create new video. This step is optional, so feel free to skip it if you don’t need new creatives.

  7. Review your ads. You can edit the image, copy, or CTA, or click the green T with stars to ask AI to polish your text.

  8. Select your target audience. Define who and where you want to reach by setting the right demographics and locations (age, gender, and region).

  9. Set your budget and duration. For better performance, let your campaign run for at least three days. Then, click Continue.

    Zeely note: Campaign budget defines the total amount you’ll spend on your ad campaign, depending on how many days it runs. It also helps determine the optimal daily budget for your ads. Duration sets how long your ad campaign will run across social media platforms.

  10. Double-check everything — your link, creatives, objective, audience, location, budget, and duration. Ensure all elements are accurate and aligned with your campaign goals. You can edit the ad text, headline, or call-to-action if necessary. When everything seems right, click Continue.

  11. Review all the details of your campaign and add your credit card details to make it live.

What happens next:

After a successful payment, your ad campaign will be automatically set up and sent for moderation by our expert team.

Moderation helps:

  • Ensure your ad meets Meta’s advertising policies

  • Avoid ad rejections or account restrictions

  • Prevent wasted ad spend on non-compliant or low-performing ads

Once your campaign is reviewed:

  • If approved, you’ll see your ad campaign active in the Campaigns section.

  • If not approved, we’ll send you a detailed email explaining why it was declined, along with clear instructions on how to fix the issue. Your payment will be fully refunded to your original payment method.

How long does moderation take?

  • Most campaigns are reviewed by our team within 1–12 hours. During high-traffic periods, it may take up to 24 hours.

  • After our approval, Meta will also conduct its own review, which may take a few more hours.

Once your ad is live, you’ll be able to track your campaign’s performance in real time.
