Sometimes your video just needs a little tune-up — a better track, a sharper image, or a new hook that really catches the scroll. In Zeely’s web version, you can update parts of your video for free or completely rebuild it when you’re ready for a fresh start.
Here’s how to do it:
Log in to your Zeely account: https://app.zeely.ai
Go to the Projects section on your dashboard and open the Videos tab.
Find the video you want to update, click the three dots (⋯) in the lower-right corner, and choose Edit.
Important: At the moment, you can only edit videos created using the Avatar video ad features.
Once you’re in the editor, you can choose how big a change you want — a quick free tweak or a full paid remake.
Free edits
You can refresh your video without spending credits.
Replace or delete images that appear in the background
Click the small pencil icon in the Media section. This opens the image picker, where you can replace or remove visuals used in the video.
Add a new hook to grab attention
A hook is the very first visual in your video. It’s what stops people from scrolling. This can be a meme, or a raw UGC-style clip that doesn’t feel like an ad but sparks curiosity right away.
You can also add a hook caption. Turn it on with the toggle, then choose where it appears: center, top, or bottom of the screen.
Change the music to set a new mood.
Swap the track to shift the mood, energy, or pacing of your video.
When you’re done, click Render for free to apply your changes.
Paid edits
If you want a complete makeover, choose Edit as new. This option costs 50 credits and creates a fresh version of your video.
You can change the product, template, AI avatar, or script. Zeely will generate a new video with updated text, lipsync, and AI actor.
Deleting a video
If you want to remove a video entirely, click the three dots (⋯) next to it and choose Delete.
